Luke 11:29-32

At that time: When the crowds were increasing, Jesus began to say, ‘This generation is an evil generation. It seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah. For as Jonah became a sign to the people of Nineveh, so will the Son of Man be to this generation. The Queen of the South will rise up at the judgement with the men of this generation and condemn them, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, something greater than Solomon is here. The men of Nineveh will rise up at the judgement with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, something greater than Jonah is here.’

XXVIII niedziela zwykła

(Mt 22, 1-14)

Jezus w przypowieściach mówił do arcykapłanów i starszych ludu: "Królestwo niebieskie podobne jest do króla, który wyprawił ucztę weselną swemu synowi. Posłał więc swoje sługi, żeby zaproszonych zwołali na ucztę, lecz ci nie chcieli przyjść. Posłał jeszcze raz inne sługi z poleceniem: „Powiedzcie zaproszonym: Oto przygotowałem moją ucztę; woły i tuczne zwierzęta ubite i wszystko jest gotowe. Lecz on oniemiał. Wtedy król rzekł sługom: „Zwiążcie mu ręce i nogi i wyrzućcie go na zewnątrz, w ciemności! Tam będzie płacz i zgrzytanie zębów”. Bo wielu jest powołanych, lecz mało wybranych".

Matthew 22:1-14

At that time: Jesus again spoke to the chief priests and the elders of the people, in parables, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son, and sent his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding feast, but they would not come. Again he sent other servants, saying, “Tell those who are invited, ‘See, I have prepared my dinner, my oxen and my fat calves have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding feast.’ ” But they paid no attention and went off, one to his farm, another to his business, while the rest seized his servants, treated them shamefully, and killed them. The king was angry, and he sent his troops and destroyed those murderers and burned their city. Then he said to his servants, “The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy. Go therefore to the main roads and invite to the wedding feast as many as you find.” And those servants went out into the roads and gathered all whom they found, both bad and good. So the wedding hall was filled with guests. ‘But when the king came in to look at the guests, he saw there a man who had no wedding garment. And he said to him, “Friend, how did you get in here without a wedding garment?” And he was speechless. Then the king said to the attendants, “Bind him hand and foot and cast him into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” For many are called, but few are chosen.’

Gdy Jezus mówił, jakaś kobieta z tłumu głośno zawołała do Niego: "Błogosławione łono, które Cię nosiło, i piersi, które ssałeś". Lecz On rzekł: "Tak, błogosławieni są raczej ci, którzy słuchają słowa Bożego i go przestrzegają".

Luke 11:27-28

At that time: As Jesus was speaking, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to him, ‘Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts at which you nursed!’ But he said, ‘Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!’

Lecz jeśli Ja mocą Belzebuba wyrzucam złe duchy, to czyją mocą wyrzucają je wasi synowie? Dlatego oni będą waszymi sędziami. A jeśli Ja palcem Bożym wyrzucam złe duchy, to istotnie przyszło już do was królestwo Boże. A gdy go nie znajduje, mówi: „Wrócę do swego domu, skąd wyszedłem”. Przychodzi i zastaje go wymiecionym i przyozdobionym. Wtedy idzie i bierze siedmiu innych duchów, złośliwszych niż on sam; wchodzą i mieszkają tam. I stan późniejszy owego człowieka staje się gorszy niż poprzedni".

Luke 11:15-26

When Jesus had driven out a demon, some of the crowd said: “By the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons, he drives out demons.” Others, to test him, asked him for a sign from heaven. But he knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste and house will fall against house. And if Satan is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that it is by Beelzebul that I drive out demons. If I, then, drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your own people drive them out? Therefore they will be your judges. But if it is by the finger of God that I drive out demons, then the Kingdom of God has come upon you. When a strong man fully armed guards his palace, his possessions are safe. But when one stronger than he attacks and overcomes him, he takes away the armor on which he relied and distributes the spoils. Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters. “When an unclean spirit goes out of someone, it roams through arid regions searching for rest but, finding none, it says, ‘I shall return to my home from which I came.’ But upon returning, it finds it swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and brings back seven other spirits more wicked than itself who move in and dwell there, and the last condition of that man is worse than the first.”

I Ja wam powiadam: Proście, a będzie wam dane; szukajcie, a znajdziecie; kołaczcie, a zostanie wam otworzone. Każdy bowiem, kto prosi, otrzymuje; kto szuka, znajduje; a kołaczącemu zostanie otworzone. Jeżeli któregoś z was, ojców, syn poprosi o chleb, czy poda mu kamień? Jeśli więc wy, choć źli jesteście, umiecie dawać dobre dary swoim dzieciom, to o ileż bardziej Ojciec z nieba udzieli Ducha Świętego tym, którzy Go proszą".

Luke 11:5-13

At that time: Jesus said to his disciples, ‘Which of you who has a friend will go to him at midnight and say to him, “Friend, lend me three loaves, for a friend of mine has arrived on a journey and I have nothing to set before him”; and he will answer from within, “Do not bother me; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed. I cannot get up and give you anything”? I tell you, though he will not get up and give him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his impudence he will rise and give him whatever he needs. And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent; or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!’

Chleba naszego powszedniego daj nam dzisiaj i przebacz nam nasze grzechy, bo i my przebaczamy każdemu, kto nam zawini; i nie dopuść, byśmy ulegli pokusie”.

Luke 11:1-4

Jesus was praying in a certain place, and when he finished, one of his disciples said to him, ‘Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples.’ And he said to them, ‘When you pray, say: ‘Father, hallowed be your name. Jezus przyszedł do jednej wsi. Tam pewna niewiasta, imieniem Marta, przyjęła Go do swego domu.

Luke 10:38-42

At that time: Jesus entered a village. And a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to his teaching. But Martha was distracted with much serving. And she went up to him and said, ‘Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me.’ But the Lord answered her, ‘Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.’

On rzekł: "Będziesz miłował Pana, Boga swego, całym swoim sercem, całą swoją duszą, całą swoją mocą i całym swoim umysłem; a swego bliźniego jak siebie samego". Jezus rzekł do niego: "Dobrze odpowiedziałeś. To czyń, a będziesz żył". Przypadkiem przechodził tą drogą pewien kapłan; zobaczył go i minął. Gdy go zobaczył, wzruszył się głęboko: podszedł do niego i opatrzył mu rany, zalewając je oliwą i winem; potem wsadził go na swoje bydlę, zawiózł do gospody i pielęgnował go. Następnego zaś dnia wyjął dwa denary, dał gospodarzowi i rzekł: „Miej o nim staranie, a jeśli co więcej wydasz, ja oddam tobie, gdy będę wracał”. On odpowiedział: "Ten, który mu okazał miłosierdzie". Jezus mu rzekł: "Idź i ty czyń podobnie!"

Luke 10:25-37

Reading from the book of Luke At that time: Behold, a lawyer stood up to put Jesus to the test, saying, ‘Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?’ He said to him, ‘What is written in the Law? How do you read it?’ And he answered, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbour as yourself.’ And he said to him, ‘You have answered correctly; do this, and you will live.’ But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, ‘And who is my neighbour?’ Jesus replied, ‘A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him and beat him and departed, leaving him half dead. Now by chance a priest was going down that road, and when he saw him he passed by on the other side. So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion. He went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him. And the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, “Take care of him, and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.” Which of these three, do you think, proved to be a neighbour to the man who fell among the robbers?’ He said, ‘The one who showed him mercy.’ And Jesus said to him, ‘You go, and do likewise.’

XXVII niedziela zwykła

(Mt 21, 33-43)

Jezus powiedział do arcykapłanów i starszych ludu: "Posłuchajcie innej przypowieści. Był pewien gospodarz, który założył winnicę. Otoczył ją murem, wykopał w niej tłocznie, zbudował wieżę, w końcu oddał ją w dzierżawę rolnikom i wyjechał. Gdy nadszedł czas zbiorów, posłał swoje sługi do rolników, by odebrali plon jemu należny. Chwyciwszy go, wyrzucili z winnicy i zabili. Kiedy więc przybędzie właściciel winnicy, co uczyni z owymi rolnikami?" Rzekli Mu: "Nędzników marnie wytraci, a winnicę odda w dzierżawę innym rolnikom, takim, którzy mu będą oddawali plon we właściwej porze".

Matthew 21:33-43

At that time: Jesus said to the chief priests and the elders of the people, ‘Hear another parable. There was a master of a house who planted a vineyard and put a fence round it and dug a wine press in it and built a tower and leased it to tenants, and went into another country. When the season for fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the tenants to get his fruit. And the tenants took his servants and beat one, killed another, and stoned another. Again he sent other servants, more than at first. And they did the same to them. Finally he sent his son to them, saying, “They will respect my son.” But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, “This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and have his inheritance.” And they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. When therefore the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?’ They said to him, ‘He will put those wretches to a miserable death and let out the vineyard to other tenants who will give him the fruits in their seasons.’ Jesus said to them, ‘Have you never read in the Scriptures: “The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes”? Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing it.

Luke 10:17-24

At that time: The seventy-two returned with joy, saying, ‘Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!’ And Jesus said to them, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.’ In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, ‘I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.’ Then turning to the disciples he said privately, ‘Blessed are the eyes that see what you see! For I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.’

Wspomnienie obowiązkowe świętych Aniołów Stróżów

(Mt 18,1-5.10)

I kto by przyjął jedno takie dziecko w imię moje, Mnie przyjmuje.

Matthew 18:1-5, 10

At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, ‘Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?’ And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, ‘Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me. ‘See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.’

(Łk 10, 1-12)

Jezus wyznaczył jeszcze innych siedemdziesięciu dwu uczniów i wysłał ich po dwóch przed sobą do każdego miasta i miejscowości, dokąd sam przyjść zamierzał. Powiedział też do nich: "Żniwo wprawdzie wielkie, ale robotników mało; proście więc Pana żniwa, żeby wyprawił robotników na swoje żniwo. Idźcie! Oto posyłam was jak owce między wilki. Nie noście z sobą trzosa ani torby, ani sandałów; i nikogo w drodze nie pozdrawiajcie. Gdy wejdziecie do jakiegoś domu, najpierw mówcie: Pokój temu domowi.

Luke 10:1-12

At that time: The Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them on ahead of him, two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to go. And he said to them, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest. Go your way; behold, I am sending you out as lambs in the midst of wolves. Carry no money bag, no knapsack, no sandals, and greet no one on the road. Whatever house you enter, first say, “Peace be to this house!” And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest upon him. But if not, it will return to you. And remain in the same house, eating and drinking what they provide, for the labourer deserves his wages. Do not go from house to house. Whenever you enter a town and they receive you, eat what is set before you. Heal the sick in it and say to them, “The kingdom of God has come near to you.” But whenever you enter a town and they do not receive you, go into its streets and say, “Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near.” I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town.’

But as for you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God.’ Yet another said, ‘I will follow you, Lord, but let me first say farewell to those at my home.’ Jesus said to him, ‘No one who puts his hand to the plough and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.’

Powiedział do Niego Natanael: "Skąd mnie znasz?" Odrzekł mu Jezus: " Widziałem cię, zanim cię zawołał Filip, gdy byłeś pod drzewem figowym". Odpowiedział Mu Natanael: " Rabbi, Ty jesteś Synem Bożym, Ty jesteś Królem Izraela!" Odparł mu Jezus: "Czy dlatego wierzysz, że powiedziałem ci: Widziałem cię pod drzewem figowym? Zobaczysz jeszcze więcej niż to". Potem powiedział do niego: " Zaprawdę, zaprawdę, powiadam wam: Ujrzycie niebiosa otwarte i aniołów Bożych wstępujących i zstępujących na Syna Człowieczego".

John 1:47-51

At that time: Jesus saw Nathanael coming towards him and said of him, ‘Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no deceit\!’ Nathanael said to him, ‘How do you know me?’ Jesus answered him, ‘Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.’ Nathanael answered him, ‘Rabbi, you are the Son of God\! You are the King of Israel\!’ Jesus answered him, ‘Because I said to you, “I saw you under the fig tree”, do you believe? You will see greater things than these.’ And he said to him, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.’

Luke 9:46-50

At that time: An argument arose among the disciples as to which of them was the greatest. But Jesus, knowing the reasoning of their hearts, took a child and put him by his side and said to them, ‘Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For he who is least among all of you is the one who is great.’ John answered, ‘Master, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we tried to stop him, because he does not follow with us.’ But Jesus said to him, ‘Do not stop him, for the one who is not against you is for you.’

XXVI niedziela zwykła

(Mt 21, 28-32)

Jezus powiedział do arcykapłanów i starszych ludu: "Co myślicie? Pewien człowiek miał dwóch synów. Zwrócił się do pierwszego i rzekł: „Dziecko, idź i pracuj dzisiaj w winnicy”. Ten odpowiedział: „Idę, panie!”, lecz nie poszedł. Zwrócił się do drugiego i to samo powiedział. Ten odparł: „Nie chcę”. Później jednak opamiętał się i poszedł. Który z tych dwóch spełnił wolę ojca?" Mówią Mu: "Ten drugi". Wtedy Jezus rzekł do nich: "Zaprawdę, powiadam wam: Celnicy i nierządnice wchodzą przed wami do królestwa niebieskiego. Przyszedł bowiem do was Jan drogą sprawiedliwości, a wy mu nie uwierzyliście. Uwierzyli mu zaś celnicy i nierządnice.

Matthew 21:28-32
At that time: Jesus said to the chief priests and the elders of the people, ‘What do you think? A man had two sons. And he went to the first and said, “Son, go and work in the vineyard today.” And he answered, “I will not”, but afterwards he changed his mind and went. And he went to the other son and said the same. And he answered, “I go, sir”, but did not go. Which of the two did the will of his father?’ They said, ‘The first.’ Jesus said to them, ‘Truly, I say to you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes go into the kingdom of God before you. For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed him. And even when you saw it, you did not afterwards change your minds and believe him.’

Sobota XXIV tygodnia zwykłego

(Łk 9, 43b-45)

Gdy wszyscy pełni byli podziwu dla wszystkich czynów Jezusa, On powiedział do swoich uczniów: "Weźcie wy sobie dobrze do serca te słowa: Syn Człowieczy będzie wydany w ręce ludzi". Lecz oni nie rozumieli tego powiedzenia; było ono zakryte przed nimi, tak że go nie pojęli, a bali się zapytać Go o to powiedzenie.

Luke 9:43b-45

At that time: While they were all marvelling at everything he was doing, Jesus said to his disciples, ‘Let these words sink into your ears: The Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men.’ But they did not understand this saying, and it was concealed from them, so that they might not perceive it. And they were afraid to ask him about this saying.

I dodał: "Syn Człowieczy musi wiele wycierpieć: będzie odrzucony przez starszyznę, arcykapłanów i uczonych w Piśmie; zostanie zabity, a trzeciego dnia zmartwychwstanie".

Luke 9:18-22

Once when Jesus was praying in solitude, and the disciples were with him, he asked them, “Who do the crowds say that I am?” They said in reply, “John the Baptist; others, Elijah; still others, ‘One of the ancient prophets has arisen.’” Then he said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter said in reply, “The Christ of God.” He rebuked them and directed them not to tell this to anyone. He said, “The Son of Man must suffer greatly and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed and on the third day be raised.”

A Herod mówił: "Jana kazałem ściąć. Któż więc jest ten, o którym takie rzeczy słyszę?" I starał się Go zobaczyć.

Luke 9:7-9

Herod the tetrarch heard about all that was happening, and he was greatly perplexed because some were saying, “John has been raised from the dead”; others were saying, “Elijah has appeared”; still others, “One of the ancient prophets has arisen.” But Herod said, “John I beheaded. Who then is this about whom I hear such things?” And he kept trying to see him.

Środa XXV tygodnia okresu zwykłego

(Łk 9, 1-6)

Jezus zwołał Dwunastu, dał im moc i władzę nad wszystkimi złymi duchami oraz władzę leczenia chorób. I wysłał ich, aby głosili królestwo Boże i uzdrawiali chorych. Mówił do nich: "Nie bierzcie nic na drogę: ani laski, ani torby podróżnej, ani chleba, ani pieniędzy; nie miejcie też po dwie suknie. Gdy do jakiegoś domu wejdziecie, pozostańcie tam i stamtąd będziecie wychodzić.

Luke 9:1-6

At that time: Jesus called the Twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal. And he said to them, ‘Take nothing for your journey, no staff, nor bag, nor bread, nor money; and do not have two tunics. And whatever house you enter, stay there, and from there depart. And wherever they do not receive you, when you leave that town shake off the dust from your feet as a testimony against them.’ And they departed and went through the villages, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.
